The National Guard has launched an investigation after discovering a serious issue concerning a large quantity of TNT explosive material during an Engineering Corps exercise at Kalo Chorio firing range.
The National Guard Chief travelled to the site and is closely monitoring the investigations and inquiry procedures, according to initial reports.
Investigators are examining two main scenarios: either the explosive material has actually disappeared, or it was used during the exercise without being accurately recorded in the required protocols.
The exercise scheduled for the morning has been postponed until the case is fully clarified, whilst checks and evidence collection by competent military authorities continue.
