Cyprus will see mainly cloudy conditions on Wednesday with local rain at intervals and isolated thunderstorms, with hail possible during storms and snow or sleet expected in the higher mountains.
Winds will blow southeast to southwest in the morning, light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort, then gradually shift to southwest to northwest at the same intensity. The southwest, west and north will temporarily see moderate to strong winds of 4 to 5 Beaufort.
The sea will be slight to moderate, becoming moderate to rough in the southwest, west and north. Temperatures will reach around 15°C inland, 16°C on the coast and 6°C in the higher mountains.
Wednesday evening will stay mainly cloudy with isolated rain, mainly on the west and north coasts. Winds will blow southwest to northwest, light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort, temporarily strengthening to moderate to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort, on the southwest, west and north coasts.
Thursday will remain mainly cloudy with isolated rain and possible isolated thunderstorms. Hail may fall during storms, whilst snow or sleet is expected in the higher mountains.
Friday and Saturday will bring mainly cloudy skies with local rain and isolated thunderstorms. Hail remains possible in storms, with snow or sleet forecast for higher elevations. The island will be affected by a strong to very strong southwest wind field on Saturday.
Temperatures will rise gradually through Saturday to fluctuate near and slightly above the seasonal average.
