Police in Paphos have launched a search for a runaway ostrich after video footage of the bird sprinting down a public road went viral on social media on Saturday morning.
The footage, captured by a motorist in the Nikokleia area, shows the large bird navigating through passing traffic.
Police confirmed that they have received multiple reports from eyewitnesses and are currently working to locate the ostrich.
Police told in-cyprus that they have already contacted the owner of an ostrich farm in the area, who is currently conducting a headcount of the flock to confirm if an animal has escaped.
The search remains active across the Nikokleia and broader Paphos region.
