Cyprus will see mainly cloudy weather on Friday with local rain and isolated thunderstorms expected, according to the weather forecast. The phenomena will be limited mainly to the mountains and northern areas by late afternoon.
Winds will blow mainly south-westerly to north-westerly, moderate to strong Force 4-5, locally strong to very strong Force 5-6, and temporarily very strong to near gale Force 6-7.
The sea will be generally rough, becoming rough to very rough in western and northern areas.
Temperatures will reach around 15 degrees Celsius inland and on northern and western coasts, around 17 degrees on remaining coasts, and around 6 degrees in higher mountain areas.
Saturday, Sunday and Monday will bring at times mainly cloudy weather with local rain and possible isolated thunderstorms, possibly with hail and snow in higher mountains.
Temperatures are expected to rise gradually until Sunday and drop slightly on Monday, fluctuating near average climatological values.
