Police are investigating a second attempted property destruction case in Limassol after arresting two men, including a 44-year-old already in custody for a similar incident.
The café owner reported the incident on the afternoon of 25 December to Limassol CID. He said an unknown person placed unknown objects outside his café in the early hours of Christmas Day and collected them hours later.
Police examination revealed the objects were an explosive device and a canister containing flammable material.
Evidence emerged against the 44-year-old, who has been held since yesterday over a similar case. An arrest warrant was issued, and he was arrested again to facilitate investigations.
The investigation also produced evidence against a 36-year-old man, who was arrested under warrant and held to facilitate investigations.
Limassol CID is continuing its examination.
