Limassol police are investigating an attempted murder after a 36-year-old man was left fighting for his life following a brutal assault outside a city cafe. A group of unknown attackers ambushed the victim on Saturday evening, using electric stun guns before stabbing him.
Ambush and Stabbing
The violence broke out around 19:00 while the victim stood outside a cafe in Limassol. According to police reports, a group of individuals swarmed the man, initially targeting him with handheld electrical discharge devices. During the struggle, one of the assailants produced a sharp object and plunged it into the 36-year-old.
An ambulance rushed the victim to a private hospital in Limassol. Doctors discovered a deep wound to his left shoulder blade and admitted him immediately. Medical staff now describe the man’s condition as critical.
Investigation Underway
Detectives from the Limassol Criminal Investigation Department (CID) are leading the probe into the attempted murder. Officers are currently working to identify the gang members involved in the coordinated attack.
