Professional travel to and from Cyprus registered high figures in 2024, maintaining the recovery trend observed the previous year. According to the latest data from the Statistical Service, foreign nationals made 278,878 trips to Cyprus for business purposes, mirroring volumes seen before the pandemic-driven travel reduction.
Overall, the 4,040,200 arrivals recorded at Cypriot airports included the 278,878 business trips.
Conversely, residents of Cyprus carried out 262,666 professional journeys in 2024, out of a total of 3,366,862 trips. The vast majority (237,874) were international, while 24,792 involved travel within the island.
Greece, UK, and Israel lead business arrivals
The analysis of origin countries shows that the bulk of business travel to Cyprus in 2024 originated from Europe, which accounted for 217,000 of the total 278,878 professional journeys.
Greece was the top country of origin, followed by the United Kingdom and Israel, reflecting established economic and political ties.
