Rain and strong winds on Friday ahead of weekend temperature drop

On Friday, the weather will initially be partly cloudy but will gradually become mostly cloudy, with the possibility of isolated light rain locally.

Winds will blow north-easterly to south-easterly, moderate to strong at 4 to 5 Beaufort, and locally strong at 5 Beaufort.

The sea will be slight to moderate.

Temperatures are expected to reach around 21 degrees Celsius inland, about 22 degrees Celsius along the coasts, and approximately 11 degrees Celsius in the highest mountainous regions.

On Saturday, the weather will be mostly cloudy. Gradually, and particularly from the afternoon onwards, local rain and isolated thunderstorms are expected. Snow or sleet is possible on the highest peaks of the Troodos mountains, especially during the evening hours.

On Sunday and Monday, the weather will remain mostly cloudy with local rain and isolated thunderstorms. Snow or sleet is again possible on the highest peaks of the Troodos mountains.

Temperatures are expected to drop through Monday, reaching levels near or slightly below the average for the season.
