The Bank of Cyprus Oncology Centre has detected indications of a possible data breach in its systems, the centre announced.
The potential breach was identified on Monday, 1 December, prompting immediate notification of the Digital Security Authority. The centre also activated its agreement with a specialised cybersecurity firm to conduct a full technical investigation and support the response. The Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection has been informed.
The investigation is ongoing to establish the exact nature and scope of the incident.
As a precaution, the centre has reinforced its protective measures whilst the review is underway.
The centre said no patient has been affected in any way.
