A motorcyclist is in critical condition after colliding with a container lorry on the old Dromolaxia-Larnaca road around 7.15am on Friday.
The lorry driver, whilst attempting to turn right and enter a main road, collided with the side of a large-capacity motorcycle, under circumstances being investigated, police said.
The motorcyclist was injured in the collision and taken by ambulance to Larnaca General Hospital in critical condition.
A helmet was found at the scene and police are investigating whether the motorcyclist was wearing it at the time of the crash.
Larnaca traffic police are conducting examinations at the scene into the circumstances of the collision.
