Following the dissipation of morning fog, Cyprus is set for mostly fair weather on Wednesday.
However, increased cloud cover will gather throughout the midday and afternoon, bringing a risk of isolated showers, predominantly affecting the mountains, inland areas, and the southeast.
Winds will be southwesterly to northwesterly, starting light at 3 Beaufort and strengthening to a moderate 3 to 4 Beaufort later in the day.
The sea conditions will be smooth to slight.
Temperatures are expected to peak at around 23 degrees Celsius inland and along the west and north coasts, reaching 24 degrees Celsius on the remaining coasts, while the highest mountains will be cooler at 11 degrees Celsius.
Wednesday night is forecast to bring locally increased cloud cover, with isolated showers or thunderstorms expected along the eastern and northern coasts.
Looking ahead, light, isolated rain is possible on Thursday, and high cloud cover will dominate Friday’s forecast.
A significant change is expected on Saturday, which is set to bring local rain and isolated thunderstorms, mainly from late afternoon onwards.
Overall, the temperature will gradually rise slightly until Saturday, maintaining values above the average for this time of year.
