Two National Guard soldiers were injured when their armoured reconnaissance vehicle overturned on a dirt track near the Nicosia-Palaichori road close to Klirou village shortly after 11:00 on Tuesday.
The two soldiers were taken to the accident and emergency department at Nicosia General Hospital. Their condition is not causing concern, with initial reports indicating they suffered external injuries.
The incident happened during training manoeuvres. The vehicle was a Cascavel-type armoured car.
A National Guard official confirmed the incident to Philenews, saying the two soldiers sustained superficial injuries.
