Yesterday at around 12:52 PM, the Fire Service responded with three fire engines to a fire in insulation material on the roof of a building at the University of Cyprus in Aglantzia.
The fire was extinguished by workers who were on-site doing insulation work on the roof, before the Fire Service arrived. The Fire Service then carried out an inspection.
The building’s classrooms had been evacuated beforehand, with students leaving in collaboration with their teachers. The fire was caused by the work being carried out on the roof.
