School board president calls attack attempted murder
West Limassol School Board President Herodotus Neophytou described vandalism at schools as having escalated beyond acceptable levels.
“Last night’s episode is attempted murder. We are not simply talking about an incident, the man suffered second-degree burns to his face. They tried to kill him,” Neophytou told philenews. “Police should assume their responsibilities. There is sufficient evidence to locate the perpetrators.”
Neophytou said that vandalism occurred at Ypsonas Gymnasium the previous week, indicating the situation has deteriorated. “Parents of the offenders bear responsibility, as does the police. What are they waiting for? To mourn victims?” he stated.
