Police arrested a 43-year-old man yesterday evening on a court warrant in connection with a series of hotel room burglaries in the Famagusta district, authorities said.
The suspect faces charges related to eleven separate break-ins and thefts from hotel rooms that occurred between 18 July and 1 September 2025, according to evidence under examination by investigators.
Police detained the man to facilitate questioning as part of the ongoing investigation into the theft spree targeting accommodation facilities across the eastern province.
The Famagusta Criminal Investigation Department continues examining evidence linking the suspect to the series of crimes that spanned six weeks during the peak tourist season.
