A 6.2% increase is observed in the average gross monthly earnings of employees during the third quarter of 2023, estimated at €2,224 compared to €2,094 in the third quarter of 2022, according to preliminary data released by the Statistical Service on Wednesday.
The seasonally adjusted average gross earnings for the third quarter of 2023 are estimated at €2,371, showing a 1.4% increase compared to the second quarter of 2023.
As reported by the Statistical Service, the average gross monthly earnings of men during the third quarter of 2023 are estimated at €2,390, while for women, they are estimated at €2,015. Compared to the third quarter of 2022, the average monthly earnings of men and women increased by 6.1% and 6.2%, respectively.
