A 16-year-old was arrested in Nicosia on Sunday, suspected of stealing a car and committing numerous traffic offences.
Police received a call at around 6am from a member of the public saying a vehicle was driving “dangerously” on a road in the capital.
They tracked the vehicle down and discovered the driver to be just 16 years old.
The car had been reported stolen in Larnaca on Saturday.
The child remains in custody and the police’s investigation is ongoing.
