A yellow weather alert was issued for Saturday by the meteorological service, that will be in effect until Sunday morning due to severe thunderstorms.
The rainstorms will firstly affect the western areas of the island and the northern areas of the island, and then move to the rest of the island.
Around 35 to 55mm of rain is expected to fall per hour, with a chance of the rain turning to hail at some points.
The warning was also issued for strong winds that will affect the island on the coast.
The warning will be in effect from 6pm until 6am Sunday.
The Met office has also said the first snow of winter call fall in the mountains on Sunday.
