Cyprus police have filed a complaint against the “Jho Low Presidential Godson” parody account on X, formerly known as Twitter, they said on Wednesday.
The parody account posted the complaint the police had filed against it, while the matter was also confirmed by Police spokesman Christos Andreou.
“In the interest of transparency, we are writing to inform you that Twitter has received a request from Cyprus Police – Cybercrime Unit regarding your Twitter account, @CommentaryJhoLow, that claims the following content violates LAW of Cyprus,” the statement from the company said.
Speaking to Dialogos website, Andreou also confirmed that the complaint had been filed.

The account has come to the fore recently over posting controversial material about the appointment of permanent secretary of the Health Ministry Christina Yiannaki.
It has also made other posts previously about state officials in Cyprus that have sparked controversy, and the account has gained a considerable following.
