Michalis Nicolaou, spokesman of the Paphos CID, mentioned that following a coordinated operation, with the collaboration of a banking establishment, a possible sufferer and the police, they managed to arrest a 34-year-old man who was getting cash from unsuspecting victims supposedly for the remedy of kin.
In two circumstances the 34-year-old acquired 7,000 and 10,000 euros, whereas within the above case he was going to get one other 20,000 euros.
When interrogated the suspect offered some claims that are being investigated.
Nicolaou mentioned that in latest days the Police have obtained a number of complaints by residents who obtain calls by unidentified individuals attempting to cheat them and get cash.
