Quake of magnitude 4.9 strikes Paphos district early on Friday

A brand new earthquake of magnitude 4.9 struck Cyprus on Friday morning, simply two weeks after a 6.1 one had shaken the Mediterranean island.

Friday’s quake occurred round 6.00 within the morning in coastal Paphos district, in accordance with the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).
