Takis Hadjidemetriou, the co-chair of the bicommunal Technical Committee on Cultural Heritage has resigned. Physician of Turkish Research, Sotos Ktoris, who was a member of the Committee till now has been appointed as the brand new co-chair.
A press launch issued by the Presidency mentioned that Cyprus President, Nicos Anastasiades, met with Hadjidemetriou who introduced to him that for private causes he doesn’t wish to stay co-chair of the Committee.
As it’s famous, Anastasiades accepted Hadjidemetriou`s resignation and thanked him for his important contribution.
In recognition of Hadjidemetriou`s long-standing and essential contribution to the most important effort of preserving the cultural heritage of Cyprus, the President determined to bestow on him the Medal for Distinctive Companies, throughout a particular ceremony to be held on the Presidential Palace on February 3, the press launch mentioned.
Moreover, it’s famous that Physician of Turkish Research, Sotos Ktoris, who was till now member of the Committee has been appointed as the brand new co-chair of the Committee.
