The Ministry of Power, Commerce and Trade introduced the beginning of appraisal drilling in block 10 of the Unique Financial Zone of the Republic of Cyprus (EEZ).
In a press launch issued Tuesday, the Ministry of Power, Commerce and Trade introduced that appraisal work had begun on the Glaucus-2 drilling rig in Blocks 10 of the Unique Financial Zone of the Republic of Cyprus, by the three way partnership ExxonMobil and Qatar Power which holds a Hydrocarbon Exploration License for the Block.
It’s famous that the drilling works, carried out by the drill-ship “Stena Forth”, might be monitored on a steady foundation by the workers of the Cyprus Hydrocarbon Firm and the Ministry of Power, Commerce and Trade.
In a put up on twitter, on Wednesay, Minister of Power Natasa Pilides says that with the appraisal drilling at Glaucus_2, the drilling program resumes within the EEZ. That is the primary drilling in Cyprus EEZ after the onset of the pandemic.
“With the Glaucus_2 appraisal drilling, the drilling program resumes within the EEZ of the Republic of Cyprus. Along with our licensees, we now have labored to make sure the security of their actions within the midst of a pandemic,” the Minister says in her put up.
The put up is accompanied by a video from the beginning of the drilling, for which the Minister thanks the businesses working in Block 10, ExxonMobil and Qatar Power.
In February 2019, the businesses introduced a discovery following the drilling of the Glaucus – 1 effectively, with an estimated 5-8 trillion cubic toes (Tcf), of pure fuel.
