Police have confirmed that the woman found dead in the early hours in Kato Paphos was houseless, as investigations increasingly point away from foul play towards sudden death.
The middle-aged woman’s body was discovered outside an abandoned building on the coastal Poseidonos Avenue, next to hotels in the area, by a female worker heading to her shift at one of them shortly after 7am.
Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances of the woman’s death whilst working to establish her identity. Authorities believe she was likely a foreign national who had been houseless.
Initial findings suggest no criminal activity was involved.
