Weak low pressure brings cloud, mist and rain later in the week

Weak low pressure is affecting the area.

Tonight brings spells of increased high cloud. Low cloud will form locally, and patchy mist may also develop. Winds blow mainly westerly to north-westerly, light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort, occasionally locally moderate at 4 Beaufort in the west. The sea remains slightly rough. Temperatures fall to 9°C inland, around 10°C on the south and east coasts, about 12°C on the west and north coasts, and 5°C in the higher mountains.

Tomorrow sees intervals of increased cloud. Winds turn south-westerly to north-westerly, light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort, strengthening locally during the afternoon along the south coast to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea stays slightly rough. Temperatures rise to 19°C inland, around 20°C along the coasts, and 13°C in the higher mountains.

Tomorrow night brings increased cloud again. Winds blow mainly north-westerly to north-easterly, light at 3 Beaufort, while the sea remains calm to slightly rough.

On Tuesday, the weather turns mostly cloudy at times. After midday, local rain and isolated thunderstorms are expected, mainly over the western half of the island.

On Wednesday and Thursday, local rain and isolated thunderstorms are forecast, starting in the west and later spreading to other areas.

Temperatures will gradually edge down and settle close to seasonal averages.

Frenaros saw 20°C and 13°C, with humidity at 75%. Prodromos recorded 15°C and 6°C, with 44% humidity. Polis Chrysochous reached 24°C, dipped to 14°C, and recorded 60% humidity.
