Wargaming on Tuesday announced that it is launching six online gaming educational courses in Cyprus.
The “Wargaming Forge” programme will allow students and recent graduates to master their skills under the guidance of gaming industry experts.
The courses will focus on the following disciplines: Software Engineering, Game LiveOps, Maintenance, 3D Art, 2D Art and visual effects (VFX).
According to the company, the programme’s curriculum incorporates “a blend of practice and theory,” providing access to unique information and expertise.
All six courses will be conducted online and free of charge. As the number of seats is limited, participants will be picked through a competitive selection process.
The candidates should meet some hard skills requirements such as mandatory English language for each course and basic programming skills for some of them i.e. software engineering. Candidates should also be legally eligible to work in Cyprus (Wargaming does not sponsor visas and work permits for this type of position).
The best-performing participants will be offered a paid internship at the Wargaming Cyprus office.
Enrollment Details:
- Software Engineering and Game LiveOps: enrollment started on January 22
- 3D Art, 2D Art, and VFX: enrollment opens February 12
- Maintenance: enrollment opens on February 19
