A 36-year-old man has been arrested at Larnaca airport after his details were found on a Red Notice, with Ukrainian authorities seeking his extradition.
The 36-year-old is allegedly connected to a case involving property fraud through false representations and conspiracy, which Ukrainian authorities are investigating.
Around 6.30pm yesterday, the 36-year-old presented himself at Larnaca airport to depart from Cyprus.
During passport control, officials discovered his details appeared on a Red Notice and he was arrested under a provisional arrest warrant.
He was subsequently detained for the purpose of beginning extradition proceedings to Ukraine.
Larnaca CID continues to examine the case as the formal extradition process gets underway.
