A two-year-and-eight-month-old girl was attacked by a dog at waterfalls in Foini on Sunday and will undergo surgery after being transferred to Nicosia General Hospital.
The child was initially taken to a Limassol hospital before being moved to Nicosia General Hospital, where she will receive surgical treatment.
According to police, the girl sustained injuries to her legs, but her condition is stable and she is out of danger. The incident occurred at the popular waterfall site in the Foini area.
The dog involved in the attack has been taken by veterinary services for examination. Police have arrested the animal’s owner in connection with the incident.
