The Business Cycle Index in Transport and Storage during the fourth quarter of 2023 reached 143.1 units (base year 2015=100), marking an increase of about 6% compared to the corresponding quarter of 2022, according to data released by the Statistical Service on Tuesday.
Compared to the same quarter of the previous year, all individual economic activities saw increases.
Specifically, air transport along with storage and supporting activities for transportation recorded an increase of 10.9%, land transport 8.6%, postal and courier activities 0.6%, and water transport 0.4%. During the period January-December 2023, the Business Cycle Index in Transport and Storage saw an increase of 16% compared to the corresponding period of 2022.
