Toddler struck by electric scooter in Paphos hit-and-run

Police are hunting for an electric scooter rider who fled the scene after hitting a two-year-old girl in Kato Paphos on Saturday evening. The child was walking with her parents when the collision occurred on a busy coastal pedestrian path.

Collision on the Promenade

The incident took place at 19:30 on the Poseidonos Avenue coastal walkway. While walking with her foreign national parents, the toddler was struck by an electric scooter. Instead of stopping to render aid, the rider immediately abandoned the scene.

Medical Condition

The young girl sustained minor injuries in the crash. Paramedics initially rushed her to Paphos General Hospital, but doctors later transferred her to the Makarios Hospital in Nicosia as a precautionary measure. Medical staff confirmed that her condition is not cause for concern.

Manhunt Underway

Authorities are continuing their investigation to identify and arrest the rider involved in the hit-and-run. Officers are currently scouring the area for leads.
