Today’s weather: Overcast, scattered rains

Friday will be partly cloudy and overcast with scattered showers and temperatures expected to reach 26C in the interior and the coasts, and16C in the higher mountains. Winds will initially be north- to south-easterly, weak to moderate, up to 4 Beaufort, later turning south-westerly to north-westerly, of the same intensity. The sea will be somewhat rough.

Overnight the weather will remain cloudy. Temperatures will drop to 14C inland, 15C on the coast and 7C in the higher mountains. Winds will be mainly south- to north-westerly, weak and locally transient, up to moderate, 4 Beaufort. The sea will remain rough. 

Saturday will start off partly cloudy with showers expected later, mainly in the western half of the island. Rains and isolated storms are expected from the early evening with very strong winds. Temperatures are not expected to change significantly and will remain above the average for the season.

On Sunday the temperature will drop to reach the average for the season. The sky will remain overcast with showers and isolated thunderstorms expected after noon, and strong to very strong winds. Snow or sleet is expected to fall on the highest peaks of Troodos.
