The Junior and Senior School

The Junior and Senior School is a licensed Private School operating under the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth’s regulations, with 81 years of educational presence.

Throughout these decades, the school has maintained its commitment to innovative and creative education, enabling students to become confident, compassionate members of the global community.

The Junior School delivers the National Curriculum for England to children aged 3 to 12. The dedicated Forest School area is an outdoor learning approach which supports the progressive development of skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, resilience, independence, communication, and respect for the natural world. At the Senior School, students prepare for (I)GCSE and A Level examinations alongside the Apolytirion. In September 2025, the IB Diploma Programme was also launched.

Pre-Primary Education: The Early Years department is a nurturing haven where children aged 3 to 6 begin their educational journey. Comprising three year groups: Early Years 2, Early Years 3, and Reception. Our Early Years programme is designed to spark curiosity and lay the foundation for lifelong learning. Each class is led by a dedicated teacher and supported by a learning support assistant, ensuring personalised attention for every child. Specialist teachers for Greek, music, and physical education further enrich their experiences, while welcoming facilities, including dedicated playgrounds, a library, and a music room, provide the perfect backdrop for exploration and growth.

Our approach, inspired by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and the principles of Positive Discipline, encourages independence, creativity, and social-emotional development. It’s here that the seeds of confidence, collaboration, and a love for learning are sown, enabling our youngest learners to grow as they transition into Primary School.

Primary Education: The Primary Years are marked by dynamic teaching and a well-rounded curriculum that balances academic rigour with creative expression. Each class benefits from a class teacher and a learning support assistant up to Year 2.  From Year 3 to 6, as well as the class teacher, there are learning support assistants shared between two classes, in addition to specialist music, P.E. and Greek teachers. The Headteacher along with the leadership team, ensure standards are maintained, new methods and activities are incorporated into schemes of work and that the appropriate resources and facilities are available to the children. By the time children complete Y6 they are well prepared for secondary education.

Secondary Education: founded in 2003, the Senior School was a result of the continuous expansion of the School. Its rigorous and engaging curriculum offers a seven-year programme leading to (I)GCSEs and A levels in a range of subjects, which incorporates a Greek programme leading to (I)GCSEs and an A level in Greek, based mainly on the programme proscribed by the Ministry of Education here in Cyprus. Our Greek department are experts at catering for all students, from native speakers to those newly arrived in Cyprus with little or no Greek. Furthermore, having received authorization in September 2025, we are pleased to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) as an alternative qualification for Years 12 and 13 students. Students also obtain, via rigorous internal assessments, an Apolytirion (Government approved School leaving certificate) in Year 13, on graduation.

Our students thrive in international as well as national examinations and competitions, achieving excellent results and receiving prestigious awards allowing them entrance to highly ranked universities and competitive courses across the UK, Europe and the North America.

The Sports School, introduced in 2022, offers an exciting new dimension to sports schools in Cyprus with a mission to cultivate a dynamic, inspiring, and nurturing environment where every student can thrive. It offers a diverse range of sports, including Football and Tennis, and provides access to top-tier, modern facilities tailored to the evolving needs of young athletes. Our approach extends beyond the game, integrating educational programs, guest-led insights, and structured recovery plans—including post-workout meals—to ensure our student-athletes perform at their peak in both training and academics.

Academic excellence remains a key priority. Our coaches work closely with TJSS subject teachers to ensure that student-athletes remain fully engaged in their studies. Through regular updates and close monitoring, we track and support each student’s overall academic and athletic progress, reinforcing our commitment to their holistic development. Currently, the programme accepts students aged 12 to 16.
