Temperatures to rise up to 37 degrees on Thursday

The weather on Thursday will be mainly fine with temperatures climbing to 37 degrees Celsius inland, according to the Department of Meteorology.

Winds will blow from the southwest to northwest at light to moderate strength, reaching three to four on the Beaufort scale, strengthening to moderate force four later in windward areas.

Temperatures will rise to around 37 degrees in inland areas, whilst coastal regions will experience more moderate conditions with temperatures reaching approximately 30 degrees along the western coasts. The remaining coastal areas will see temperatures around 33 degrees, whilst higher mountainous regions will experience cooler conditions at approximately 29 degrees.

The sea will be smooth to slight.

Friday and the weekend will generally maintain mostly clear weather patterns, though some locally increased cloud cover will be observed at intervals.

Temperatures will show a gradual slight increase over the weekend period, continuing to remain above the average for the time of year.
