Temperatures across Cyprus are set to experience a sharp drop tomorrow, Tuesday, 25 November, as the island anticipates a day of mainly cloudy conditions, punctuated by localised rain and isolated thunderstorms.
The weather will be mostly cloudy throughout the day, with the chance of storms starting in the morning, primarily affecting the east and northern coastal areas. By midday, the precipitation is expected to shift, focusing mainly on the mountainous regions, the south, and the east, potentially extending into inland areas. Forecasters warn that hail is probable during the thunderstorms.
Temperature and Wind Conditions
The temperature will see a notable decline, reaching approximately 22°C across the interior and coastal areas, and dropping to around 12°C in the higher mountains.
Winds will blow mainly from the south-west to north-west, generally moderate to strong (4 to 5 Beaufort), becoming temporarily strong (5 Beaufort) along windward coasts.
The sea is predicted to be smooth to slight in the east, but slight to moderate along the rest of the coastline.
Outlook for the week
Tuesday Night: Locally increased cloud cover is expected, which may bring isolated showers, particularly to coastal areas. Later in the evening and during the early morning hours, light or dense fog is possible in inland and eastern areas. Winds will continue to be mainly south-westerly to north-westerly, light to moderate (3 to 4 Beaufort).
Wednesday and Thursday: The weather will be partly to mostly cloudy, with the anticipation of isolated rain and possible isolated thunderstorms, especially after midday.
Friday: Locally increased cloud cover is expected intermittently.
The temperature is forecast to gradually show a slight rise until Friday, eventually remaining near or slightly above the average for the season.
