Temperatures reach 37 degrees on Friday

Temperatures will climb to around 37 degrees Celsius on Friday, with predominantly clear skies expected.

The Department of Meteorology forecasts clear conditions with occasional increased cloud cover, though mountain areas may experience isolated showers during the afternoon.

Morning winds will be variable and light at 3 Beaufort, gradually shifting to south-westerly to north-westerly directions with light to moderate strength of 3-4 Beaufort. Coastal areas may experience moderate to strong winds of 4-5 Beaufort during afternoon periods.

The sea will be smooth to slight.

Coastal temperatures will reach approximately 30 degrees in western and south-western areas, around 32 degrees along remaining coastal regions, and about 27 degrees in the higher mountains.

Saturday and Sunday will see predominantly clear weather with occasional increased cloud cover. Mountain regions are expected to develop clouds during midday and afternoon periods, likely producing isolated showers.

Monday’s weather will become more unsettled with intermittent increased cloud cover. Isolated showers and thunderstorms are forecast during the afternoon.
