Sun in Ayia Napa as heavy rain hits Limassol and Paphos

Sunshine and spring-like conditions in Ayia Napa contrasted sharply on Sunday with heavy rain affecting other parts of Cyprus, including Limassol and Paphos.

Early tourists in Ayia Napa took advantage of the clear weather, heading into the sea for their first swims of the season despite it being early April.

At the same time, businesses and leisure boat owners in the area are stepping up preparations ahead of the start of the new tourist season.
