Storms are expected to sweep across Cyprus today, bringing periods of mostly cloudy weather, local rain and isolated thunderstorms.
Hail may fall during thunderstorms, while snow is expected in the island’s highest mountain areas. Winds will blow south-westerly to westerly, moderate to strong at force four to five, with rough seas.
Temperatures are forecast to reach around 17 degrees Celsius inland, about 19 degrees along the coast and roughly six degrees in the highest mountain areas.
Tonight, the weather will turn partly cloudy, with isolated showers mainly affecting western and northern areas. Winds will remain south-westerly to westerly at moderate to strong levels, and the sea will stay rough.
