Cyprus is expected to see unsettled weather from Friday through Monday, with isolated showers and a chance of thunderstorms at times, while temperatures remain slightly below seasonal averages.
On Friday, spells of increased cloud are expected to bring isolated rain, with a thunderstorm not ruled out. Winds will blow south-westerly to westerly, moderate to strong at force 4 to 5, while the sea will be slight to rough.
Temperatures will rise to around 19C inland and on the coast, and around 8C in the higher mountains.
On Friday night, the weather will be mostly clear, although increased low cloud is expected in western areas and in the mountains. Winds will remain south-westerly to westerly, light to moderate at force 3 to 4, and the sea will stay slight to rough.
On Saturday, locally increased cloud is expected at times and may bring isolated showers or a thunderstorm.
On Sunday, the weather will start off partly cloudy before gradually turning mostly cloudy, with local rain and isolated thunderstorms expected.
On Monday, increased cloud is expected to bring isolated showers or a thunderstorm.
No significant change in temperature is expected over the three-day period, with temperatures remaining slightly below average for the season.
