Second stage of operations in Gaza – Civilians to move to the south, Israelis demand

The war between Israel and Hamas has entered a fierce escalation, with Benjamin Netanyahu and his country’s military forces officially announcing the new phase of the conflict.

The Israeli army has called on Palestinians to move to the southern part of the Gaza Strip, where humanitarian aid from Egypt and the US will be ramped up today, the Israeli President said in a post on social media X (formerly Twitter).

The Hamas health ministry has announced that the death toll in the Gaza Strip since the outbreak of war with Israel on October 7 has now exceeded 8,000.

“The death toll due to the Israeli offensive exceeds 8,000, half of which are children,” the ministry informed the French news agency.

The latest casualty count, which was made public on Saturday morning, put the death toll at 7,703.

“Unprecedented bombing in Gaza”

Doctors Without Borders calls for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza to prevent more deaths and to allow supplies to enter the Palestinian enclave, criticizing the “reflexes” of the international community.
