Purple festival celebrates seasonal blossoms

Early summer at CyHerbia Botanical Park & Labyrinth means one thing – it’s time for lavender to bloom into its purple glory. And so, the Avgorou-based park honours it with a month-long festival with activities for children and adults, running from June 10 to July 9.

“Celebrating the Queen of all Herbs, Lavender, there are so many experiences that you can take with you by visiting this festival,” says CyHerbia. Each edition is filled with dozens of experience-based activities from organised tours in the lavender garden to solo meditation walks, hands-on workshops and photoshoots with the purple blossoms with the resident photographer.

Throughout the duration of the festival, cosmetics, soap-making and candle-making workshops will be held while guests can also visit the lavender fields. But that’s not all. CyHerbia visitors will also be able to taste lavender by trying the park’s famous lavender cake and lavender lemonade and also witness the lavender essential oil extraction in the distillation room.

Although the full festival agenda has not been released yet, dozens of experiences are expected to fill up the month-long event with morning and afternoon activities. All to celebrate the Queen of all Herbs.
