Police warn mountain roads require chains or 4×4 vehicles

Police are warning motorists travelling in the mountains that several roads are accessible only with anti-skid chains or four-wheel drive vehicles.

The Platres-Troodos, Karvounas-Troodos and Prodromos-Troodos roads are open only to four-wheel drive vehicles or cars equipped with anti-skid chains.

The same applies to the Kyperounta-Chandria road.

The Papoutsa-Agios Theodoros and Papoutsa-Agros roads are open but slippery.

Drivers are urged to exercise particular caution.
