Police in Limassol were placed on alert after a woman was found dead on a pedestrian promenade along the seafront in the coastal area of Agios Tychonas in Amathounta.
Authorities were notified at around noon. An ambulance crew reached the scene first and transported the woman to a private hospital, after which police were alerted and officers rushed to the location to conduct on-site examinations.
The woman’s identity has not yet been established.
Criminal activity has provisionally been ruled out, according to information by the police. Officers are reviewing closed-circuit television footage in the area to help establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
