Police are investigating after two gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire at a foreign-owned hotel in Limassol yesterday evening.
The shooting occurred shortly after 6 pm, according to a police announcement.
Two people riding a motorcycle fired multiple shots at the building, causing panic. The hotel is located in the heart of Limassol and is foreign-owned. Police rushed to the scene to conduct investigations and examinations.
The shots hit the hotel’s facade, police said.
Authorities have not yet disclosed the number of shots fired or what type of weapon the perpetrators used. The attackers’ motives remain unknown.
Investigators are reviewing CCTV footage from the hotel and other establishments in the area and taking statements to locate the perpetrators.
