Police report 11 people and 5 store homeowners over COVID protecting measures violation

Cyprus Police fined 11 people and 4 store homeowners for violating the measures aiming to include the unfold of the COVID pandemic.

A Police Spokesman instructed CNA that within the final 24hours ending on 06:00am native time, on Sunday, the Power carried out a complete of two,713 checks all through the government-controlled areas.

In Nicosia 1,250 checks had been carried out with 2 people and 1 store proprietor reported, in Limassol 268 checks had been made with 3 people reported, in Larnaca 4 people and 1 store proprietor had been fined after 422 checks, in Pafos 3 store homeowners had been fined following 178 checks, 2 people had been fined in Famagusta after 321 checks, whereas no fines had been issued after 123 checks within the Morphou space.

Moreover, the Visitors Departments and the Marine and Port Police carried out 135 and 16 checks respectively with no fines issued.
