Cyprus Police have reinforced already-heightened security measures across the country’s critical infrastructure and other high-risk sites in response to developments in the Middle East, the force’s spokesman Vyronas Vyronos said.
The measures are precautionary in nature and form part of the force’s overall operational planning to deter any threat, Vyronos said.
“We are on alert, with the protection of citizens and the safeguarding of public safety as our top priority,” he said.
