Since January 2024, 160,277 individuals have been receiving increased pensions from the Social Security Fund, and 16,733 beneficiaries are receiving increased Social Allowance according to the provisions of Social Security legislation.
An announcement notes that the results of the people-centered policies implemented by the Government have positively affected the daily lives of thousands of citizens through the payment of salaries and pensions in January.
With the implementation of the Government Decree for an increase in the National Minimum Wage to €1,000, salaries for 25,000 low-wage workers have been raised, while with the completion of the acceleration of procedures for timely payment of the first pension installment, the long delays of the past have been definitively abolished, and 6,000 new retirees start receiving a pension within one month from the date of their retirement.
