Emergency services rushed to a scene in Nicosia on Sunday evening after part of a listed building collapsed into an open area used as a car park.
The Fire Service received a call at 19:26 reporting that part of the structure had fallen. Fire stations from Nicosia responded with a rescue team and a fire engine to search for possible trapped persons.
Authorities also activated the EMAC K9 detection unit to assist in the operation.
Firefighters carried out extensive searches both inside the building and beneath the rubble but did not find anyone trapped.
The collapse damaged one vehicle that had been parked near the building.
After the search operation ended, firefighters handed the scene over to the police.
