Paphos confirms position as top destination for Polish tourists for second consecutive year

Paphos has been confirmed for the second consecutive year as the most popular tourist destination for Polish visitors in Cyprus. The central European country continues its trend from 2024 into 2025, as official data shows that 49% of Polish arrivals to Cyprus this summer chose Paphos.

Paphos’s air connectivity with Poland is the best it has been in the last 30 years. Up to 20 flights per week are operating in 2025 from six major Polish airports, with Ryanair holding an almost monopolistic penetration into this market.

Paphos tourism bodies are already capitalising on this significant data to form the basis for further tourism development and cooperation between the two countries. In this context, tourism bodies in the district, with the assistance of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, are taking action to inform travel agents about promoting Paphos as a year-round tourist destination.

The Polish market has now become a first-priority market, and arrivals have significantly increased in recent years, mainly due to Ryanair’s flights to Paphos.
