Officers from the Cyprus Police Drug Law Enforcement Unit (ΥΚΑΝ) launched a coordinated operation in Larnaca today and arrested nine people as part of efforts to track down and detain members of criminal groups trafficking large quantities of drugs.

Twenty-seven officers from various units of the service took part in the raid. They searched a house, other premises and vehicles during the operation.
Police seized around 400 grams of cocaine, approximately 150 grams of cannabis, precision scales, ten mobile phones, a pistol fitted with a silencer, a firearm, €9,605 in cash and three vehicles.


The Drug Law Enforcement Unit in Larnaca continues its investigations and will also carry out a financial inquiry into the items seized during the operation.
