The northern section of Makarios Avenue in Nicosia will be temporarily closed due to festive events taking place from December 2025 to January 2026, Nicosia municipality announced.
The section between Spyros Kyprianou and Evagoras streets will be closed on the following dates:
December 2025 weekends: 6-7, 13-14, 20-21 and 27-28 December, from 10:00 to 22:00.
Additional closures: 1 December 2025 from 17:30 to 19:30, and 6 January 2026 from 19:00 to 00:00.
According to the municipality, traffic will be suspended during these periods for the safe conduct of events.
Residents and those with access rights will be able to move through the area with the assistance of traffic wardens.
